1 Million Boys: Bloodshed In Ikorodu As Cultists Avenge Death Of Top Member
Igbogbo area of Ikorodu Local Government in Lagos State was thrown into chaos following the brutalmurder of a top member of a cult group called Black Axe (Aye Confraternity) by a rival cult group known as Eiye Confraternity on Tuesday, 19th May 2020.
The Eiye Confraternity had on Tuesday night stormed Igbogbo, a community that is said to be the major base of Aye Confraternity in Ikorodu, and succeeded in killing a strong Black Axe man called Nurudeen Apetu, popularly referred to as “Rocker who was said to be a son of the soil as far as Ikorodu is concerned.
Consequently, members of the Aye Confraternity, who were said to be very sad about the murder of their strong member, immediately embarked on a revenge mission, and between yesterday and today, investigation revealed that more than ten people who reportedly belonged to Eiye Confraternity have been killed.
According to an eye witness, who pleaded anonymous for the fear of being attacked, explained that the rival cult group, Aye Confraternity, has since yesterday embarked on a deadly reprisal attacks, moving about both at during the day and at night with guns axes which they use in killing their perceived opponents.

It would be recalled that about three month ago, it was reported that the unpleasant security situation in Ikorodu where the two rival cult groups, Aye and Eiye Confraternities, engaged in broad daylight sporadic gun shootings and killings of one another over supremacy battle was becoming over bearing.
In addition, some of the Ikorodu residents, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, claimed that not less than fourty (40) killings had been carried out in less than one month in areas like Itunmeko, Itunpate, Kokoro Abu street, Ladega, Laketu street, Isele street, Odogunyan, Oluye street, Luck Fibre, Ijede and others.
The ugly security situation caused by the rivalry between the two dreaded cult groups has over the time continuously made the residents and traders in the area live in perpetual fear.
The recent happenings about the activities of these cult groups in Ikorodu are a pointer that the residents are still in for a big trouble unless something is done urgently by the government to address the issue.
