On Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, Hon Akinloye Monsuru marked 100 days as Eredo LCDA Chairman in a small ceremony where he unveiled numerous projects embarked on by his administration during its fledgling days following his inauguration into office approximately three months ago.
The event, which bore striking elements of a festival, was adorned by beneficiaries of the Chairman’s people-oriented projects as well as party faithfuls of the All Progressives Congress in the LCDA.
Traditional Leaders, Religious Organisations, Artisans and Tradesmen, mostly clad in well-adorned ankara outfits were also in attendance at the ceremony which was held at Eredo LCDA Secretariat amidst pomp, pageantry, and endless entertainment.
Alhaji Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki, GAC Member, Hon. Wasiu Odeyemi (WASTAB), the APC Apex Leader, Epe Constituency II, Hon Mrs Oladunjoye, former Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Shamusideen Adeniyi, former SLG, Eredo LCDA, Hon. Shakirudeen Adebanjo, former LAHA Member, Epe Constituency II and Hon. Muhammad Agbaraojo, Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Eredo LCDA, are some of the high profile political functionaries who graced the event.
Notable traditional rulers at the ceremony included the likes of Alara of Ilara, HRM Oba Olukayode Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Aladeshonyin and Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, HRM Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, FmBe, the Alade Uraka of Poka Kingdom, HRM Oba Kolawole Aliru and other traditional chiefs.
Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye, the Chairman, while addressing the gathering said the achievements of his administration during its first 100 days in office is merely a precursor of the deluge of developmental strides to come in the foreseeable future.
Highlighting some of his accomplishments within the last 100 days, Hon Akinloye stressed the need to focus the spotlight of his administration around people-oriented projects like
education, health, security, agriculture, environmental safety, electrification, revenue generation, youth empowerment, amongst others.
One of the high points of the event was the presentation of employment letters to 50 Primary School teachers.
“This administration recognised efforts of the State Government in the recruitment of teachers to fill vacancies in our primary schools. To complement this effort, our administration under its Education Assessment Impact had employed fifty (50) NCE/B.Ed graduate teachers to be deployed to our primary schools. Their appointment letters will be given to them today,” Hon Akinloye said.

In the area of power, Hon Akinloye stated that his administration repaired the faulty 100KVA generator which had been the main source of power supply to the Council Secretariat

As part of ongoing efforts to bolster security in the LCDA.
Another important highlight of his exploits in his first 100 days was the sponsorship of 30 women to the 2021 Conference of Wives of Lagos State Officials, COWLSO.
On food production and social security, Hon Akinloye promised to engage meaningful partnerships as well as empowerment programs that will put Eredo LCDA firmly on the map of Lagos state.
He further noted that the Legislative Building under construction by his administration would go a long way in augmenting the landscape of the LCDA while also providing a veritable platform for lawmakers in the exercise of their legislative and administrative duties.
The Alara of Ilara, HRM Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, evaluating Hon Akinloye’s first 100 days in office hailed the Chairman as well as the good people of Eredo for their unwavering support to the political class.
“The good work of Hon. Monsuru is a joint effort and cooperation of all people of Eredo. And we shall continue to support you because this is just the beginning,” Alara said.
