Due to economic hardship and other social ills in the country, many Nigerians take it upon themselves to move to greener pastures, particularly Europe, at whatever possible cost.

In the process of trying to cross the Mediterranean coast into Europe, they get stranded, sometimes get missing and succumb to death. Libya is the major crossing point and the North African country constantly facees the tough task of managing what sometimes turns to a humanitarian problem.
