The Ade Adeogun Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with management of Upland College of Education, Ipesi, for the purpose of training 150 students of Akoko to acquire National Certificate of Education (NCE) at the institution.
Upland College of Education, Ipesi, is directly affiliated to Ekiti State University for its degree programmes.
Founder of the foundation and lawmaker representing Akoko South West and Akoko South East Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ade Adeogun, said the gesture was part of his developmental agenda to raise the standard of living in his constituency as well as provide educational support for children of the downtrodden.

Adeogun said it was also to encourage and boost businesses of private indigenous citizens.
Adeogun explained that the MoU was the beginning of a beautiful process of creating an enabling environment where the potential of having a good life through access to qualitative education is birthed.
He stated that the processes of selecting the beneficiaries would soon be unveiled.
Chief Executive Officer of the institution, Chief Sunday Kayode, said the school has been certified suitable for many accredited courses by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE).
He explained that Upland College of Education offers a nine month post graduate programme to help non qualified persons interested in the teaching profession to obtain the required professional qualification.
