COVID-19: NCDC Confirms 5 Deaths, 269 New Infections

  • Total cases confirmed – 158,506
  • Total cases discharged – 137,875
  • Total deaths recorded – 1,969

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has shown that Nigeria has recorded a total of 158,506 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated March 7, the NCDC reports 269 new infections and 5 deaths resulting from COVID-19 complications.

The new infections were recorded in 19 states — Enugu-78, Bauchi-37, Rivers-22, Imo-18, Ogun-16, FCT-15, Akwa Ibom-13, Kaduna-13, Kebbi-11, Kwara-9, Edo-7, Ekiti-6, Borno-5, Yobe-5, Kano-4, Nasarawa-3, Osun-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-2.

Eko Hot Blog gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 137,875 cases have been discharged while the death toll stands at 1,969.
