Epe Club Inaugurates New Executives, Inducts Fresh Members

  • The outgone President, Haji Taoheed Olowo Fowoshere charged the new executives to reciprocate the confidence and gesture of the club by giving their best time and resources to promote the foundational ideals of the club.
  • The new president of the club, Engineer Adebola Rasheed Shabi expressed his delight at the opportunity to steer the leadership of the club and pledged to serve to the best of his capacity.

It was an all ritzy affair at the premier club of Epe Division, on Saturday 13th March 2021, as the club successfully inaugurated new executives and also inducted deserving sons and daughters of Epe as members in a grand style.

The outgone President, Haji Taoheed Olowo Fowoshere, in his welcome address appreciated God for steering him through the leadership of the club through the past four years. He called for a minute silence for loved ones lost and thereafter gave an account of his stewardship. He congratulated the incoming president, executives and newly inducted members, charging them to reciprocate the confidence and gesture of the club by giving their best time, talents and resources for the growth of the club, communities and Epe Division at large.

The new president of the club, Engineer Adebola Rasheed Shabi is a former Executive Chairman, Yaba Local Government, General Manager, Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and Special Assistant to Governor of Lagos State on Cleaner Initiative (2018).

“I feel so delighted and privileged to have been elected as President and my job is to serve Epe Club, I’m there to render my service to consolidate on the gains so far. I give kudos to the outgone President, Alhaji Fowoshere and I promise to take the Club to the next level in terms of fostering unity and development, not only for Epe Central but for all districts that formed the Division” Rasheed told Eko Hot Blog following his election as the new president of the club.

Eminent members of society from far and near who graced the stunning event included Hon. Tajudeen Agoro, President-Elect, Eko Club, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Epe Constituency II, High Chief Wale Mogaji, Chairman LSHAS Commission, Hon. SA Shittu, SUBEB Board Member, Arc Biola Anifowoshe, Okanlomo of Epe, Hon Bayo Balogun, MHR, Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency, amongst many others.

While the event, anchored by Olori Aare Faaji FM, Princess Olawunmi Jegede, proceeded with the induction rite , ace Waka music legend and entertainer, Queen Salawa Abeni thereafter thrilled guests to her oldies hit songs much to the delight of the cheering audience.
