Yoruba Activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has said that the only solution to the insecurity in the South-West is for the region to stand on its own.
Igboho, who declared this at a press conference in Ibadan, urged all Yoruba youths to support Professor Banji Akintoye in the quest for a Yoruba nation.
He said [in Yoruba language]: “We are fighting for our rights. All Yoruba youths in this land must support the stand of Baba Akintoye.”

Continuing, Igboho said: “Starting from now, we don’t want Fulani herdsmen in our land to disturb our farms again. If we meet any Fulani herdsmen, we are going to face and destroy them.
“If any police attack us for that, we are ready for them. We don’t want Nigeria again, but Yoruba nation. There is no essence for one Nigeria when major resources in the country are in the hands of the northerners.”
Meanwhile in a reaction to Igboho’s video which has since gone viral, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, tweeted: “A great man! A real leader! A warrior! A fighter! I am proud of Sunday. Any day, any time!”
