A civic group, the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths has hailed the Southwest Zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists for honouring Nigeria’s minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola as its Grand Patron.

The GCYY in a statement described Aregbesola as “a renowned human rights activist and revolutionary leader of all seasons” who deserves the special honour and award.
The group reckons that the conferment of the title of grand patron and an award of excellence aptly underscores Aregbesola’s service to humanity and landmark achievements.
