Abibu Oluwa: He was one of the first performers of Sakara music in Nigeria. Sakara music, had an influence on others genres, such as Juju and Nigerian Hip Hop.(2)

Herbert Ogunde: He was a pioneer in Nigeria folk opera, in which music and dancing played a significant role.

Haruna Ishola: He is one of the most popular artist of the apala genre. He was known for sitting while performing and surrounded by two talking drummers, bell and a shaker.

Yusuf Olatunji: He was a Nigerian musician, he mostly sang a lot of praise songs for some prominent Nigerians in the Southern part of Nigeria.

IK Dairo:  He was a notable Juju musician. His band played different musical styles from different parts in Yoruba.
