Two Children and six adults reportedly lost their lives in a road crash on Saturday at Urkhuosa area on the Benin Ekpoma-Auchi road.
The tragedy which occurred involved a Toyota Haice bus and an articulate truck as residents living around the area weep helplessly over the horrible sights.
It was further gathered that the accident happened when one of the vehicles dangerously overtook another and had a head on collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Edo Command, Mr Henry Benamaisia, said eight persons died in the accident while four other who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

He said the police carry out the rescue operation, noting that investigation is ongoing to ascertain the cause of the accident.
He advised motorists to exercise caution while on the road, especially during wet season.
