Calloused palms of busy patrol officers
weary eyes of little children along the tar
bustling scenes of jostling cars
viscous beats at every bar
Bottles rolling on tiled dance floors
money sneaks on heeled soles
smoke puffs all round the viby moor
a perfect day to loose much souls
February is the month,
fourteen is the number
hotels fully stocked with loaded moaners
moans of thrills and gruesome veins
even Malone once said, ”too much pleasure is pain”
A day registered for love but mistook for lust
Lust for thrusts down the holes of pride
true love commemorated but now underrated
Valentine tidings and much joy evacuated
Perhaps ”Valentine” was the focus and the ”St” ignored
love was the purpose but now disbursed
Ne’er forget, a soul did die for assurance
that love may abide through tough endurance
Smile, think and act lovingly!
Breathe Love, Breathe Valentine
