United Bank for Africa, UBA employees at the treasury unit in head office have tested positive to Coronavirus.
Kennedy Uzoka, the Group Managing Director and CEO of pan-African banking group, UBA Plc. said in a statement obtained by Ekohotblog that the case is being handled by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.

Ekohotblog reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 239 new COVID-19 cases in a tweet on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday evening, May 9.
This online news platform understands that the NCDC noted that of the 239 COVID-19 cases recorded on Saturday evening, 97 were detected in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city, 44-Bauchi, 29-Kano,19-Katsina, 17-Borno,7-FCT, 6-Kwara,5-Oyo, 3-Kaduna, 3-Sokoto,2 Adamawa, 2-Kebbi, 2-Plateau, 2-Ogun,1-Ekiti.
Meanwhile, Ekohotblog reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to four thousand one hundred and fifty-one (4151) with seven hundred and forty-five (745) people discharged and one hundred and twenty-eight (128) deaths recorded so far.
