A block of six flats has been gutted by fire at Jakande Estate, Mile 2, Lagos State.
The cause of the fire outbreak, which occurred on Friday, was attributed to an electrical power surge.
A spokesperson for Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, said the incident happened at Block 257 Jakande Estate, Mile 2.
He said the fire was put out by the LASEMA Fire Men, Lagos State, and Federal Fire Services.
Okunbor said the inferno consumed two out of the six flats, adding that no fatality was recorded.
He said, “LASEMA Response Team on getting to the scene of the fire discovered that the fire started from the fifth flat (second floor) of a two-storey building.
“The cause of the fire outbreak is attributed to an electrical power surge from flat five of the building which extended to flat-six on the same floor and razed down the two flats completely.
