2021 AFCON Qualifier: Rohr Says Benin Republic Will Be Tough
Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has stated that he expects the match against Benin Republic to be a tough match but believed the players will rise up to the occasions to pick the maximum three points at home.
Nigeria will face Squirrels of Benin in the match-day one of the qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state with each of the teams determined to start the campaign with a win.

This was confirmed during a press on Tuesday in Uyo, where the coach added his lads will draw confidence from the decent game against Ukraine and Brazil in an international friendly matches which ended in draws.
“We enjoyed ourselves against Ukraine & Brazil, but tomorrow’s game will be different. Africa football is a bit difficult, Benin Republic are doing fine at the moment. I hope today’s training will be enough for us,” Rohr said.
During the Tuesday training, almost all the players invited for the match are already in camp getting ready for the match slated for 5pm local time on Wednesday.
