YouTube has taken down a new video uploaded on President Donald Trump’s channel for violating the online video sharing platform’s policies on inciting violence.
The company announced late on Tuesday that it also banned the channel from posting any new content for the next seven days.
With this latest development, YouTube joins a growing list of social media platforms that have shut down or curbed the outgoing president’s online presence due to concerns of potential incitement of violence.
According to Forbes, the Google-owned platform said that it had taken down the video after “careful review, and in light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence.”
The statement added that comments for all videos uploaded on the president’s channel have also been disabled indefinitely due to safety concerns.
