It was gathered that the eight candidates are from Auyo, Kirikasamma, Bulangu, Malammadori, Kafin Hausa, Birniwa, Guri, and Kaugama constituencies.
The State Governor, Muhammad Badaru, received the candidates during an event in the Government House.

Revealing the reason for their defection, one of the politicians from Guri LGA, Muhammad Makinta, stated that they joined the ruling Party after realizing that the APC had more prospects of winning in the state.
Mr Makinta said they will work to ensure victory for APC’s candidates in the general election in their respective areas of influence.
