2023: Afenifere Leader Ayo Adebanjo Expresses Support For Peter Obi

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the leader of Afenifere, Ayo Adebanjo, has revealed who he would support in next year’s presidential election.

The elder statesman said he would endorse the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, for the country’s highest office.

Channels TV quoted Adebanjo as saying that the decision to back the Labour Party candidate is in line with his belief that the South-East should produce the nation’s next president.

According to him, the decision to endorse the Labour Party is also the position of Afenifere as a group.

The Afenifere, a pan Yoruba socio-political organisation led by Adebanjo, is one of the groups that make up the Southern and Middle Belt Leaders Forum (SMBLF).

Other groups in the forum are the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, and Middle Belt Forum.
