2023: Anti-Tinubus, Show Us Your Cripple

I know the name Bola Ahmed Tinubu grates on some people’s nerves. I will let them continue to stew in their goose for now…if you know what I mean.

You are Yoruba and you don’t want him as president in 2023?

Fine.

It’s your prerogative.

But show me your cripple. Show me your alternative and tell me how she/he is better and more deserving, more worthy of the presidency than Tinubu.

If you can’t come out openly and mention that cripple’s name now, then forever shut up and fall in line with the husband of your phantom candidate.

Who born your cripple?

I may act like a small boy at times on Facebook; it doesn’t mean I am a small boy at all-at all. The fact you don’t see grey hair on my face and head doesn’t mean I am a kid o. It just so happens that I shave daily.

I was around in 1979 when some so-called Yoruba elites said Awolowo was a thief that milked Lagosians off Maroko lands…part of the present Lekki. If you are older than me or you are my contemporary, you may recall that MKO Abiola, the man we all love now, used his Concord newspapers when he was being used by his Fulani friends in NPN, to rubbish Awolowo.

I will not let anybody push me goo-goo into turning Tinubu into a pariah.

All of a sudden, you want a saint as president in 2023. Who is that your saint?

Before ’79, those of you who are my uncles and fathers will recall the Coker Commision of Inquiry that found Awolowo guilty of…guess what…CORRUPTION?

Justice George Ayodele Coker was, as the name suggests, a Yoruba man.

Awolowo’s most powerful traducers were Yoruba people. They held clandestine nocturnal meetings all over Lagos, Ibadan, Ijebu-Ode, Ogbomosho and Ekiti during which they plotted against him. They were jealous of him from scratch.

In their blind jealousy, they disfigured the face by cutting off the nose in ’79, aligning with the Hausa/Fulani to deny Awo the presidency and install Shehu Shagari, a man not fit to be Awo’s secretary.

They repeated the treachery in ’83.

Let nobody come here to tell revisionary history. I was a UPN polling agent in Ilorin in ’79 and ’83. I was old enough to hear and understand all the garbage being spewed by Yoruba elites against Awo.

All the work that Awo did as premier of Western Region…like Tinubu did in Lagos…amounted to nothing with some of the so-called Yoruba elites…over-educated…I mean, mis-educated…who were good only for gargantuan grammar, couldn’t win an election in their immediate family, but great at posturing and pontificating.

That was how they goaded us into wasting Awo’s talent. Coman see them pour useless eulogies on Awo after he died.

We have had Obasanjo rule Nigeria…twice. We have had Yar’Adua rule Nigeria. We have had Jonathan rule Nigeria. For God’s sake, Buhari…of all people…is ruling us for the second time and the second term!

How then is somebody like Tinubu not fit to govern us?

Are you guys alright upstairs?

Okay…I concede your right to support whomever you want. But I want to see that cripple you want to sell to me who is better than Tinubu IN ALL RESPECTS.

Stop this proxy shooting. Name that cripple who wants to sell Yoruba short and deny Nigeria the chance to get it right this one time.

“Awolowo is the best president Nigeria never had.”

Yehn-Yrhn-Yehn.

I am sick and tired of hearing that shit. Your fathers and uncles (mis-educated lot) ganged up to deny Awo and deny Nigeria. Go home and learn what they did. Then come back here and atone for their sins.

Bring out your cripple now or forever keep quiet and fall in line behind Tinubu.

Nigeria has not broken up yet. That means our candidate will not only have to be very qualified, he/she must also be able to win votes across other regions.

Bring out your cripple now…the one that you genuinely believe is better than Tinubu and can win in Ibadan as well as Onitsha and Birnin Gwari.

Jonathan? Buhari?

Can you imagine?

And someone with his head screwed on right is throwing around paperweight names against Tinubu.

We want to see your candidate so we can put him/her and YOU through the meat grinder.

Again…I was around when your fathers and uncles allowed jealousy to get the better of them and they truncated Awo’s plan for Nigeria.

It seems you have been drinking from the same faucet. I won’t let you come and screw up my country the same way your ancestors did.

Bring out your cripple and let us put tribal marks on his/her face.

Or forever shut up and fall in line behind Tinubu for 2023.
