Ekohotblog reports that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate has emphasized the type of leadership Nigeria requires ahead of the 2023 elections.
According to Atiku, Nigeria requires a leader who can bring the country together.
The former Vice President expressed optimism that the country would prosper under a leadership that would unite the country and promote peace.
On Thursday, he delivered the keynote address at Engr. Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi’s 70th birthday lecture, titled “Technology: A Missing Link in Nigeria’s Development.”
Atiku stressed that Nigeria needs a leader that can restructure the country and reform the economy.
According to him: “Nigeria needs a leadership that can unify the country, bring stability, restructure the country, reform the economy and bring about cohesion to the nation.”
Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, had claimed that Atiku and governor of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal, have indicated interest to run for the presidency in 2023.
