2023: Atiku’s Camp Reacts As Wike Promises To Support Obi’s Campaign

Atiku’s camp has reacted to Wike’s promise to support Peter Obi.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the camp of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has reacted to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike’s promise to support the flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Recall that Governor Wike last week during the commissioning of a project in the state had vowed to support Obi with logistics during his campaign.

Wike in his statement noted that Obi was a former governor, hence he would provide him with all the logistic support needed during LP’s presidential campaign in the state.

A spokesman for the Atiku/Okowa campaign council, Dino Melaye had questioned the justice the camp of Governor Wike is requesting in PDP.

According to Melaye, most of the leadership positions in the LP are occupied by southerners, unlike PDP.

The former lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district said it is time for Governor Wike to reunite with his family.

Melaye, in a post on his Twitter account, wrote, “Peter Obi’s visit in PH, Wike of Rivers state, stated that he would give Peter Obi support during the presidential election.

“In Labour Party, their National party chairman is from the South. The presidential candidate is from the South. Their DG is from the South. And the majority of their national positions are being held by southerners.

“So where is the justice Governor Wike is talking about? Time to reunite with your family my brother.
