EKO HOT BLOG reports that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has defeated the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar in Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Cross River State.
The State Collation Officer, Prof Akpofure Rim-Rukeh, announced the result at the Independent National Electoral Commission state headquarters in Calabar early on Tuesday morning.
Peter Obi polled 179,917 to defeat the closest rival Tinubu who got 130,520 votes and Atiku who got 95,425 votes.
