Fani-Kayode has tackled Obaseki over his recent statement on Tinubu.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has berated the Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki for his statement on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This online media platform recalls that Obaseki had earlier warned Nigerians against voting Tinubu into power as such a decision could lead to the split of the country.
Reacting to Obaseki’s statement, Fani-Kayode opined that the notion is as nonsensical and puerile.
The New Media Director of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) said Obaseki suggested that Nigeria can only remain if PDP’s Atiku Abubakar wins.
He argued that while Obaseki is free to support Atiku, it was unfair for him to attribute divine status to the former vice president.
FFK went on to describe the former Vice-President as the most destructive force that has bedeviled the Fourth Republic”.
He argued that not only did Atiku try to destroy President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration but also the chances of the PDP and President Goodluck Jonathan during the 2015 election “by his infamous deceit and betrayal”.
He said, ‘Today, he has done the same to PDP by dividing the party, violating its constitution with impunity, imposing himself as its presidential candidate, insisting on keeping a divisive man who calls himself the National Chairman.
“He devoured the first with his gluttony, hate, and greed for power and he left the second intact hoping to devour it at a later date.
“If he ever becomes President he will destroy Nigeria itself in precisely the same way that he has destroyed the PDP.”
FFK stated that Atiku would suck the life out of Nigeria if given a chance to rule and leave the country a shadow of its former self.
He described the PDP standard bearer as a destroyer who is surrounded by a group of shady businessmen and hungry touts.
