Keyamo has reacted to the absence of PDP Bigwigs at Atiku’s rally in Katsina.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the absence of some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) bigwigs at the party’s campaign rally in Kastina State.
It was earlier reported that Atiku stormed the state on Tuesday alongside his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, to seek the support of voters in the state.
Rather than gain the support of people in the state, leaders of his party led by the former Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, have decided to boycott the presidential campaign.
There are indications that 10 out of the 14 members of the party’s State Working Committee, as well as 19 out of the 34 local government party chairmen in the state, will boycott the rally.
The development is contrary to the statement made by the Chairman of the Atiku-Lado Campaign Council, Senator Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, who, while briefing newsmen on Sunday, said, “I would like you to believe and agree with me that PDP is one big united family with full cooperation ready to take Nigeria to the promised land.”
In a post shared on Twitter on Tuesday, Festus described Atiku as the real divider rather than the ‘unifer’ that he claims.
The minister lashed out at Atiku for disrespecting major stakeholders within his party, being unable to make adjustments, and failing to accommodate various interests in the party.
Keyamo added that Atiku claiming a ‘unifer’ sounds like a sick joke to Nigerians.
He tweeted: “Atiku, the REAL DIVIDER touts himself as a ‘unifier’! He disrespects MAJOR stakeholders within his party & can’t do SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT to accommodate various interests wants to UNITE Nigerians! In the face of these disasters, ‘UNIFIER’ now sounds like a VERY SICK JOKE to Nigerians.”
