The meeting came hours after the strategic planning committee of the council met to review the campaign council list.
The Governor of Plateau State, Lalong chaired the meeting held at the PCC office in Abuja.
Lalong had taken the step to douse the controversy surrounding the list of the APC campaign council.
Some APC Governors and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had expressed their grievances over the composition of the list.
The National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Adamu and other members of the NWC were absent from the meeting.
A source that spoke with Punch about the meeting disclosed that Adamu and other members of the NWC might be absent from the meeting because of a crucial meeting on Wednesday.
The source said, “Are they not members of the PCC? Remember that Adamu is a deputy chairman of the council while national vice chairmen of the APC are equally deputy coordinators and zonal vice chairmen.
