Peter Obi’s Supporters Shut Down Port Harcourt

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the thousands of supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Friday shut down Port Harcourt in solidarity with his aspiration to become the president of the country.

 

Numbering about 10,000, the supporters gathered at the Eleme junction axis of Aba Road, singing songs in praise of Obi.

The supporters, under the aegis of Two Million-man March for Obi, wore white shirts with fez caps and marched through to the stretch of Ikwerre road before terminating their trek at the Isaac Adaka Boro Park.

 

The march caused a gridlock with many motorists diverting to other routes.

.The supporters mainly youths sang, ‘Obi, Obi, Obi’ and danced all through.

They held placards that highlighted the leadership challenges in the country and suggested that Obi would resolve them.

They also called on Nigerians to prepare to make a change.

 

They crowd of the ‘Obi-dients’, who defied heavy rain, were addressed by Nollywood actress, Hilda Dokubo, at the Isaac Boro Park.
