Badaru Opens Up On Stepping Down For Tinubu, Osinbajo

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Presidential aspirant and Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru has denied stepping for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The governor also dismissed claims that he had withdrawn from the Presidential race for Vice President and fellow contender, Yemi Osinbajo.
The governor made the disclosure in a statement issued on Monday by his spokesman, Auwal Sankara in Abuja.
Reacting to the screening exercise, Badaru expressed satisfaction with the process and the relevant questions asked by the APC Presidential Screening Committee.
The presidential hopeful said his attendance at the screening exercise shows that he had not stepped down for any aspirant.
Badaru said he is hopeful he will clinch the party ticket due to the massive support he is garnering from the party faithful, supporters and relevant stakeholders in the country.

He listed the issues raised by the panel to include verification of his membership, financial status, academic credentials, and other requirements for a presidential candidate as stipulated in the Nigerian Constitution.
