Peter Obi Is Not A Threat To Atiku –PDP Chieftain

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lere Olayinka, has said the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, is not a threat to his party’s flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.

 

This online media platform gathered that Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, was the running mate to Atiku in the 2015 presidential election

But despite being one of the frontline candidates for the 2023 elections, Olayinka said the former governor does not stand a chance of succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

 

Speaking with the Punch, the spokesperson to former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, said the next president will be produced by either the PDP or the All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

He, however, admitted that the 2023 presidency is a four-horse race, saying that the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, is not a pushover.

 

Olayinka said: “The PDP is the only alternative to the APC. If you do not like the APC, the only alternative is the PDP.

 

“I don’t want to subscribe to the idea of a three-horse race. Former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is also in the race and he is not a pushover.
