Hon Segun Agbaje, a former Chairman of Epe Local Government on November 28, 2021, commissioned a facility as part of concerted efforts to support the Presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking while addressing the party faithful, Hon Segun Agbaje revealed that the facility located at 63 Lagos Road, along Oando fueling station, Epe, would serve the dual purpose of campaigning for both the former Lagos State Governor and his own political ambition of representing Epe Local Government at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

“This place is being opened today for political activities in Epe and it is a campaign office towards 2023. This office is targeted towards the aspiration of our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President 2023 and also for my aspiration to become a member of House of assembly in Lagos State,” he stated.

Addressing what he perceived to be an apparent misconception, Hon Agbaje clarified that the rave of the moment, the “Otoge” movement, orchestrated by youths of the community is not geared towards phasing out the ruling party in Epe, but rather a clarion call by certain quarters of the society for a change in representation of Epe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly by 2023.

“We’ve clarified to the leaders that “otoge” is not for the APC. We are full blood APC members and supporters but enough is enough for 12 years reign on a single leadership position. The populace in the community is behind the mantra and we’ve aligned with them,” he asserted.

He noted that it has become pertinent for a change in representation to create room for fresh ideas and innovations that will positively affect the lives of the populace.

As the “otoge” slogan rented the air, the party faithful took turns to testify to the sage leadership acumen of Hon Segun Agbaje as evidenced during his spell as Chairman of Epe Local Government.

Throwing their full weight behind his legislative ambition, they expressed confidence that the former Chairman’s political antecedents aptly qualifies him for the responsibility of representing the Constituency at the State Parliament.
