The gunmen, on Monday night, November 28, 2022, invaded the home of Victoria and shot her dead while her husband sustained gunshot injuries.
The video that surfaced online captured the moment Chintex led a group of local women singing the high praises of the party’s presidential candidate, Peter obi.
The women were singing joyfully; ‘‘Peter Obi is coming to save us if we wisely cast our vote.”
Meanwhile, Peter Obi recently condemned the death of Victoria Chintex, the party’s women leader in Kaduna State.
In a statement shared on Twitter, Obi expressed shock over the tragic incident stating that the death of Victoria is a huge loss to her immediate family and the LP at large.
The former Governor of Anambra noted that the incessant loss of innocent lives across the country to gunmen and terrorists is the major reason he would prioritize the war against insecurity if he becomes the president.
He said: “I am shocked by the mindless killing of Mrs. Victoria Chintex, the Labour Party’s women leader in Kaura, Kaduna State, by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. Her death is a huge loss to her immediate and extended family, and to our Labour Party. She lives on in our hearts.
“Her killing, and the loss of many innocent lives across the nation to gunmen and terrorists, are the reason why I must prioritize the war against insecurity as my first task in office. We must not allow the waste of human lives in Nigeria under any guise.
