2023: Tinubu Storms Bayelsa For APC Presidential Campaign Rally

Tinubu visited Bayelsa to host his campaign rally.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, stormed Bayelsa State for the party’s campaign rally on Thursday.

This online media platform gathered that the former Governor of Lagos State was accompanied by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, and some chieftains of the ruling party.

The APC Presidential flagbearer was also accompanied by the former APC National Chairman and Deputy Director-General of the council, Adams Oshiomhole, and Women Leder, Betty Edu, among other party chieftains

On arrival in Yenogoa, the state capital, Tinubu, Shettima, and the entire campaign council paid a courtesy call on the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council.

Arriving at Oxbow Lake, the venue of the rally, Tinubu and other APC leaders were welcomed by a large crowd of supporters and party members in the state.

Recall that Bayelsa Publicity Secretary of APC, Doifie Buokoribo, had in a statement on Wednesday announced Tinubu’s visit to the state.

Buokoribo said the Yenagoa rally is in continuation of Tinubu’s campaign trail around the country to gather support for his 2023 presidential bid.

“On arrival in the state, Tinubu, his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the entire team would begin the campaign visit with a courtesy call on the Bayelsa State Traditional Rulers Council.

“From there, they would proceed to the Oxbow Lake venue of the rally, where Tinubu and other leaders of the party would address the Bayelsa public on APC’s 2023 agenda for the country,” the statement read in part.

Buokoribo said necessary arrangements had been made to receive the national campaign team and ensure a successful rally.

He added: “We call on all Bayelsans and residents of the Ijaw heartland to come out en masse to welcome the APC presidential candidate, the Jagaban, under an atmosphere of peace, in the time-honoured tradition of Ijaw hospitality.
