2023: World Igbo Congress Says Southeast Not Interested In Presidency
-
The Southeast region of Nigeria has never ruled since the return to Democracy in 1999
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a pressure group, World Igbo Congress (WIC), says it is not interested in political parties zoning the Nigerian presidency to the southeast in respect of the 2023 general elections.
In a Twitter post on its known account on Wednesday, WIC said leadership in Nigeria “has never worked”.
“We are not interested in the gangsters leadership. It has never worked and it will not work no matter who is gang leader,” WIC wrote, in response to a poser about Southeast presidency by Punch.
The organization’s opposition to southeast presidency signals it is all for Biafra seccession.
