IPAC Sensitizes Nigerians on holding govt accountable
The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged the government to prioritize addressing insecurity, combating corruption, revitalizing the economy, ensuring food security, and improving access to social amenities in the coming year.
Acknowledging the significant challenges ahead, IPAC emphasized the importance of citizens holding all levels of government accountable. It called for unity among Nigerians to strengthen the country’s democracy and build a nation that current and future generations can take pride in. The Council stressed that the dividends of democracy are vast and must be harnessed effectively.

IPAC also encouraged citizens to remain prayerful and patriotic, recognizing that “it was only by the grace of God that Nigerians endured the socio-economic hardships of 2024.”
In a statement by its National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle, the Council described the economic difficulties of the past year as unprecedented in Nigeria’s history.
“We are grateful to God for His mercies, protection, and care, which have renewed our hope and faith in consolidating democracy and creating a strong, united, stable, progressive, equitable, prosperous, and just society in 2025,” the statement read.
The Council further commended the resilience, resourcefulness, and enterprise of Nigerians, noting the sacrifices made since Independence in 1960 in the pursuit of a better nation.
