The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has celebrated and rewarded exceptional pupils and students across primary and secondary schools within the council area.
Eko Hot Blog reports that outstanding pupils in upper primary classes (Primary 4–5, now in Primary 5–6) were presented with dictionaries, stationery, and cash gifts.
Exceptional students in Junior Secondary Schools (JSS 2–3) and Senior Secondary Schools across Arts, Science, and Commercial classes also received similar packages.
Kasali said the gesture was part of his administration’s resolve to invest in human capital development and build future leaders through quality education.
“Education is not a scam, and we will continue to support our pupils and students to achieve their dreams,” he stated.
He added that rewarding excellence was a way of motivating young learners to maintain high standards and inspire others.

“We must celebrate those doing well because their hard work and brilliance inspire others to put in more effort,” Kasali noted.
Parents and teachers at the event commended the initiative, describing it as a morale booster for students.
A parent, said: “This recognition has shown our children that their efforts are seen and valued. It will encourage them to do more.”
Similarly, a JSS 3 award recipient, expressed gratitude for the support. “I feel so proud today. This gift has encouraged me to work harder and make my parents and my community proud,” she said.
The Chairman assured that more educational initiatives, including school infrastructure upgrades, training for teachers, and scholarship opportunities, are underway to further strengthen learning in Lekki LCDA.
