20th Ascension Anniversary: Lagos Deputy Governor Hails Oba Ogunlaja For Sustaining Peace

Eko Hot Blog reports that Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, has sang the praises of the Aladeshonyin and Paramount Ruler of Odo-Noforija Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Babatunde Ogunlaja JP, FMBE.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Hamzat’s tributes are contained in a lengthy statement to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the highly revered monarch.

In his goodwill message, the Lagos deputy governor hailed the monarch for presiding over 20 years of peace and tranquility.

According to Hamzat, Oba Ogunlaja’s wisdom and wealth of experience have fostered harmonious relationships.

He also noted that the monarch’s educational background and dexterity in the private sector have contributed to him improving the economic lives of the people of his community.

The deputy governor, therefore, prayed that God should shower Oba Ogunlaja with divine blessings and long life in sound health with more ground-breaking successes for the entire community.

“It is with great pleasure that I congratulate and rejoice with His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja, Aledeshonyin of the Odo-Noforija Kingdom, on the 20th Anniversary of his ascension to the throne,” the statement read.

“Your Royal Majesty, to have chalked up two decades on the throne of your forefathers with all the responsibilities associated with prosperity and socio-economic development not only to the people of Odo-Noforija but the entire Lagos State.

“It, therefore, gives great joy to join your Royal Highness in returning all glory and adoration to the Almighty God for his benevolence, wisdom, guidance, and good health over you in the last two decades as the Aladeshonyin of Odo-Noforija Kingdom.

“Kabiyesi, you have, over the years, used your position to advance the cause of the people of your kingdom and build bridges of friendship and harmony across the State. I must say that your being alive today and the successes recorded in your domain and its environs in the last two decades are a manifestation of divine blessings from the Almighty God.

“Your achievements also cannot be separated from your acquired education, which enables you to appreciate the palace cultural ethics to the admiration of your subjects. Besides, your working experiences in the private sector have undoubtedly put you on a sound pedestal in discharging your duties as the traditional ruler of repute and quality. You have displayed uncommon wisdom and emotional intelligence in the administration of your domain, fostering peace and sustainable development.
