22-year-old Female Ekiti University Student Dies In Boyfriend’s Apartment In Osun

The body of Faderera Oloyede, an undergraduate female student of the Federal University Of Oye Ekiti State, has been found dead in an apartment belonging to her Boyfriend, Ayo Maliki, in Osun State.

Oloyede was said to have visited her boyfriend in the company of her friend, Kemisola Adewusi, a student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, when she suddenly developed stomach ache and started vomiting while eating the rice that was prepared by her boyfriend, Maliki.

She died shortly after efforts to save her life proved abortive.

“They tried to save her life, but she died after complaining of stomach ache,” one source said.

Confirming the incident, the Student Union Government President of Osun State Polytechnic, Kehinde Raji, stated that Maliki immediately went into hiding after the incident.

He added that the police were called, and the corpse of oloyede was taken away.

The Spokesperson of Osun State Police command, Yemisi Opalola, stated that investigations had begun and the friend of the deceased that accompanied her to Maliki’s house has been detained.

“When they called us, we went there and took the corpse of the deceased and deposited it at the morgue in Osogbo.

“The State Criminal Investigation Department is handling the case, and they have commenced an investigation into the matter already.”
