Some Land Grabbers popularly known as “Ajagun Gbale” were arrested yesterday at about 5.30pm following disruption of landowners while working on their land, Eko Hot Blog reports.
The 3 suspected Ajagun Gbale were arrested by the Nigeria Security Officers in collaboration with the community youth on Friday, 16th, 2020.
Omooba Adeyemi Adebomehin, one of the land owners and a C.E.O, Bomrlun Properties, said that the land grabbers invaded his land while his workers were working on the site yesterday.
“My staff were seriously injured and the ajagun gbale seized there working tools and
equipment.
“The action was embarrasing and propelled me to report to the government security agencies which led to their arrest, ” he said.
Bomehin said that the ajagun gbale evil act was becoming problematic and tormenting in the community hence, requires proactive measures to combat their unruly behavior.
According to him, several petitions have been written to government security agencies, traditional rulers, political leaders and other government authorities but to no avail.
“If the government fail to act accordingly, the community youths will take the law upon themselves and fight back, ” he said.
He said that the 3 ajagun gbale have been arrested and taking to Noforija Police Station for further investigation.
Adebomehin cried out for support has his life and properties are not save.
He said that some politicians and the land grabbers sponsorers have been threatening his live following the arrest of the ajagun gbale.
He called on government security agencies and Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to intervene into this matter before it’s turned violence.

Csp. Agidi Adenode, the Divisional Police Officer, Noforija Station, has confirmed the arrest of the three suspected landgrabbers and they are in police custody.
He said that the suspects would be transferred to Epe Magistrates Court by Monday, Oct. 19 for prosecution.
The DPO said that he will not tolerate any form of indiscipline or unlawful disposition in his division.
