3-month-old Baby Raped In Nasarawa To Undergo Fourth Corrective Surgery
Three-month-old baby, Rukayat, set to undergo fourth corrective surgery after been raped in Nasarawa.
Ekohotblog had earlier reported the incident, noting it happened in May 2019, in Agodi community, Nasarawa, when the mother of the child slept with her windows open due to excessive heat.
Maimuna Adam, the child’s mother, woke up at night to discover the baby was missing and raised alarm.

Immediately, her neighbours formed a search party for the child and she was found in an abandoned building with a bloodstained private part.
Baby Rukayat, admitted at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) is scheduled for a fourth corrective surgery after undergoing three others.
Professor Edmund Banwat, Chief Medical Director, JUTH, while speaking to Channels TV, said
”The girl was brutally assaulted and in the process, she suffered horrendous injuries.”
Deputy commandant of NSCDC, Bisi Olaboyega, confirmed the suspect has been arrested and has a history of raping other minors.
He said, “He is presently in custody for allegedly raping a three-month-old baby in Adogi village of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.”
