3 PDP Gov To Dump PDP If A Northern Presidential Candidate Emerge

• Three PDP Governors threaten to dump the party should a Northern Presidential Candidate Emerge from the party. 

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and his counterparts from Delta and Bayelsa States, Ifeanyi Okowa and Douye Diri have reportedly threatened to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should the party decide to zone its presidency to Northern Nigeria.

The EkoHotBlog gathered that the Governors made the decision to jump ship for alternative parties since the party seems only interested in a Northern Presidential Candidate.

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Former Senate President Bukola Saraki and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are believed to be the top runners in the race to clinch the party’s presidential ticket.

Reports emanating from the party’s recently inaugurated Zoning Committee also revealed that the party was considering zoning its National Chairmanship to the south west, to make way for a northern presidential candidate in the build up to the 2023 elections.
