In this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we will be looking at some ways to avoid cracked feet in harmattan.
1. Keep Feet Moisturised
For instance, when your lips begin to crack in harmattan, just adding a moisturiser can easily stop it.
In the same way, applying more cream on your feet during harmattan is one basic way that you can stop your feet from cracking.
Check your cream to see if it moisturises your feet enough. If it does not, kindly change it to something more moisturising.
That will help keep the feet from cracking.
You can get a pumice scrub stone and exfoliate the feet. Soak the feet in warm water with your bathing soap added.
Allow feet to become soft, and then scrub with the stone gently.
This will remove the dry, dead skin on the surface. After you do this, apply your cream to keep it moisturised.
You have to be careful so that you do not remove so much skin and cause pain or bleeding.
3. Wear Cotton Stockings
Another way to stop the feet from cracking is to wear cotton stockings when you want to sleep.
Covering your feet more will reduce the impact of the harmattan on the skin.
Remember that the dryness makes it crack, but if you cover the feet, it will not get dry easily.
