1. Cough That Lingers For Too Long
Usually, a cough that is caused by respiratory disease or cold would go away after a week or so but a cough caused by lung cancer lasts longer and in some cases never go away till you embark on treatment options for your problem. So you need to be on the lookout for any cough that doesn’t want to go away even after taking normal cough medication. A persistent cough or cough that appears to be long-lasting is one of the initial signs of lung cancer.
2. Severe Shortness Of Breath
This is another sign of lung cancer that should not be overlooked. Since it has to do with abnormal cells growing in the lungs, there is every chance that the patient would experience shortness of breath or difficulty breathing associated with the disease. If you for any reason start noticing shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, do well to see a doctor as it’s one of the advanced signs of lung cancer.
3. Body Pain
Lung cancer often leads to pain in the body especially in areas like the shoulders, back, chest etc. If you start feeling pain constantly in these areas, then something might have gone wrong and the earlier you get checked out, the better for you. The reason is that like every other cancer, lung cancer gets worse, the longer you leave it without professional medical attention. So the more you leave it, the higher your chances of dying as a result of the disease.
