378 In Lagos As Nigeria Records Highest Daily COVID-19 Toll With 553 New Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday announced that the country has recorded five hundred and fifty three new cases.

EkoHotBlog Reports that the agency made the announcement in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter page.

The 553 fresh cases is the highest in a day since the country recorded it first case of the virulent infection in February.

According to NCDC, of the 553 COVID-19 cases recorded on Saturday evening, 378 were detected in Lagos, FCT-52 Delta-23 Edo-22 Rivers-14 Ogun-13 Kaduna-12 Kano-9 Borno-7 Katsina-6 Jigawa-5 Oyo-5 Yobe-3 Plateau-3 Osun-1.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 9855 with 2856 discharged and 273 deaths recorded.
