Sleep talking is one of the random and rarely serious conditions that affect some people. If you have ever slept close to someone who sleeps and talks, then you will be marvelled or even scared that such a person is possessed by an evil spirit, but it’s actually far from that.
There are certain reasons or causes of this in some people and if you sleep talk, getting to know the potential causes can help you stop it.

1. Emotional stress
When a person is emotionally stressed, his or her chances of sleep talking would be very high. If you are having issues in your love life or having any major emotional difficulty, it could be the cause of your sleep talking if you don’t do it before the emotional stress.
2. Fever
If you have a very serious fever either due to a health condition or flu, it may also cause you to sleep talk. In this case, it’s usually nothing to worry about, if you are able to put the fever in check, the sleep talking would certainly stop.
3. Slight Mental disorder
Certain conditions such as Parkinson’s disease and some other mental disorders could also be responsible for sleep talking. If for any reason you are sleep talking and perhaps at a much older age coupled with some other weird symptoms such as increased hallucinations, then it may be the right time for you to see a doctor.
4. Substance abuse
If you abuse alcohol or any recreational drug, it may also cause sleep talking. So for your own good, stop abusing substances to avoid having this kind of weird experience.
