Do you know that there are certain common reasons why a person may develop much pimples on the face? Acne is a common skin problem that arises when tiny holes in the skin known as the hair follicles gets blocked. It can happen anywhere on the skin but most commonly appears on the face of the person.
Research has shown that there are various triggers of acne in people are not aware of.
1. Smoking
Smokers are often at a higher risk of developing acne especially older smokers. Research has linked smoking amongst older people to higher appearance or development of acne.
2. Menstrual periods
This may also be responsible for acne development or a rapid flare-up of acne. It has been shown to be one of the premenstrual symptoms that arises as a result of the changing hormonal levels in the body.
3. Testosterone
During teenage years or pubertal years, young boys tend to develop acne as a result of the growing testosterone in the body. This hormone is the main driver for male traits and during the early or late pubertal years, it is not out of place for you to start having more acne than normal.
4. Pregnancy
The various hormonal fluctuations that take place during pregnancy may also cause acne to form during pregnancy.
