The way our bodies metabolize food usually changes as we grow older. Your health in old age is affected and sustained by your diet. Most of the things you eat will be done on purpose and not for enjoyment any longer.
You eat for therapeutic and nutritional purposes so that you can remain healthy and youthful. Certain foods become toxic to your system when you grow older, so they must be eliminated from the list of things you eat.
Some of the diseases older people are trying to avoid usually determine the foods they should never eat again.
1. Food high in trans fat
Stop eating trans fats, which include foods like butter and foods made from them. Examples of trans fat foods are fast foods, fried foods, and processed fatty foods. This can cause inflammation of the organs or tissues in your body.
2. Processed Carbohydrate
You should completely stop eating processed carbohydrates. If you must eat carbs, make sure they are complex carbs. Examples of processed carbs are spaghetti, white bread, and many other white flour products.
They can cause heart disease and high blood sugar, which can give rise to many other health conditions.
3. Fried Foods
Stop eating fried foods and fried crispy foods like potato chips. They are very dangerous for your cardiovascular health because they increase the level of cholesterol in your blood.
This will increase the level of bad cholesterol and decrease the level of good cholesterol in your body. They also affect your bowel movements and make it difficult for you to excrete properly.
4. Red meat
Avoid eating red meat completely because it can build up the acidity in your system.
