Do you know that there are certain reasons why you are finding it difficult to sleep at night? Sometimes we find ourselves battling to get unconscious in the night, not knowing certain factors are responsible for it. Many people are facing this issue and are unaware of some of the causative factors.
It’s not always due to any underlying health issue or conditions but something you can easily address for you to have a sound night’s rest.
1. Stimulation from watching television or looking at screens
One of the reasons why you are unable or find it hard to sleep at night is that you had much stimulation from either watching television, playing video games or exercising before bedtime.
Additionally, pressing or using your phone for an extended period before bedtime can cause you to have issues falling asleep. The reason is that blue light prevents the production of sleep hormones such as melatonin and serotonin.
2. Aging
When someone is growing older or ageing, he or she may not be able to sleep well or easily fall asleep like every other person. Old age comes with numerous bodily changes some of which can cause interference in your sleep cycle. If this is the reason, there is little to nothing that can be done about it.
3. Excessive daytime naps
Sleeping too much during the day may also cause you to have difficulties falling asleep at night. This is due to the fact that when you sleep during the day, the body may not have any need to sleep at night. What you can do in this case is engaged in some productive activities in the night and when the body needs sleep or rest, you will naturally feel sleepy.

4. Stress
Excess stress may also cause insomnia or sleeplessness in some people. If you are excessively stressed either at your workplace or at home, it can eventually cause sleeplessness.
