Are you aware that there are certain reasons why you often wake up with severe back pain? Having back pain can be very annoying and disturbing especially when the pain is constant and also appear to be throbbing or severe.
If you are always waking up with severe back pain, then you should try as much as possible to take some decisive steps towards getting to know the causes as that will give a better understanding of how to address it.
1. Fibromyalgia
This is a disorder that causes musculoskeletal pain. This is a bone disorder that affects mostly women than men and it is believed that this disorder worsens the pain by interfering with the way the brain processed pain signals.
2. Pregnancy
Back pain during pregnancy is very much common. Some women experience constant back pain in the early stages of pregnancy, but it appears to be highly likely or more severe during the fifth and seventh months of pregnancy. So if you are pregnant and always waking up with back pain, it is considered normal and as such, there is nothing to be worried about.
3. Bad sleeping position
If you start feeling pain each time you wake up, then it could be due to your posture while sleeping. Poor sleeping positions can put a strain or pressure on the spine that eventually causes its natural curve to flatten. So you may have to consider changing your sleeping position to avoid or prevent constant back pain.
4. Bad mattress
A bad mattress may also be the culprit behind your constant back pain in the morning. If your foam is no longer good enough, it can cause pressure on the spine that ends up causing pain in the back when you wake up.
