Fatty liver disease is otherwise referred to as hepatic steatosis and it is a type of ailment that arises in the liver when a person liver starts adding unusual fats that end up destroying or causing problems for the already existing liver cells.
People who suffer form fatty liver disease are either people who consume alcohol excessively or people who often take sugary foods because there is nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
But knowing the signs on time would go a long way in raising your chances of survival.
1. Abdominal pain
Abdominal pain or a feeling of fullness in the upper right side of a person’s abdomen. When these cells start growing or the fatty cells start dominating, it can cause increase in size of the liver which ends up being felt as fullness in the abdomen or abdominal pain.
2. Loss of appetite
Nausea or loss of appetite due to no clear medical issues. If you start feeling sick and also losing weight without being diagnosed of any health condition, then it could be due to fatty liver disease.
3. Yellowing of the skin
Yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes otherwise known as jaundice. If your skin starts yellowing unusually and the whites of the eyes start changing to yellowish colour, it could be due to leakage of bile into the blood stream and it is very dangerous and considered an unhealthy sign as long as the liver is concerned.
