Diabetic Coma is a deadly complication that arises when the blood sugar level is either too high (hyperglycemia) or it’s too low (hypoglycemia). Either way it’s dangerous to the body as the brain and other organs need glucose to function well and in the absence of this glucose, they stand a chance of failing including the brain damaging.
It is for this reason that people are advised to always check their blood sugar level especially those suffering from diabetes already.

1. Frequent Urination
this is often one sign in a diabetes patient that shows the blood sugar level has gone way higher than normal. If you start urinating too regularly especially as a diabetes patient, it means your body is trying it’s best to get rid of the excess glucose in the blood through urine and if something is not done fast enough, you might fall into a diabetic coma for extremely high blood sugar. This is just one sign of extremely high blood sugar that’s capable of causing diabetic coma, there are many more signs.
2. Shakiness, Tingling Lips and Body
This is another sign that you might soon fall into a diabetic coma. This arises when the blood sugar has gone below what the body requires for it’s functionality. 3. Chronic Fatigue
This is another thing that will most likely happen to someone before he or she falls into a full blown diabetic coma. If you start feeling very tired and unable to even do the common things you used to do, be wary as it could be a sign that your blood sugar level is very high or that it’s very low, so you can’t really draw conclusions without having yourself checked to know the status of your sugar level.
4. Extreme Hunger:
This hunger or constant urge to eat is your body’s way of telling you that energy remaining has been burnt out and that it needs fresh energy source.
