An undergraduate, Victor Ajidagba, who was in 400-level at the University of Ibadan has slumped and died.
It was gathered that Ajidagba died Wednesday night.
Ajidagba, who until his death, a Nursing student in the institution, died at the University died at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
It was gathered that Ajidagba slumped after writing a test in the department and was thereafter rushed to the UCH.
Sources within the university said that Ajidagba slumped on Wednesday evening and was rushed to school clinic before he was transfered to UCH where he was confirmed dead on arrival.
Director of Public Communication, University of Ibadan, Mr Olatunji Oladejo confirmed the incident.
Oladejo said, “It is unfortunate that Victor Ajidagba, a 400 level student of department of Nursing slumped and died on Wednesday night despite efforts of doctors and nurses of UI medical centre, Jaja clinic and at the UCH.”
Oladejo noted that the university will investigate the cause of the death of the deceased.
He noted that the family of the deceased had been notified of the unfortunate incident.
He also revealed that no one can ascertain the cause of his death at the moment until an autopsy is conducted.
