The Adamawa State command has arrested a 42-year-old man, identified as Ahmadu Idris, for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.
The suspect, a resident of Ngwalam, a village in Numan local government area of Adamawa State, was alleged to have lured the minor who sells clothing materials by asking her to take the materials to his wives.
According to the victim’s father, Mallam Musa Abubakar, the suspect directed the victim to his second wife’s apartment, where he raped her and threatened to kill her if she resisted his moves.

It was gathered that the suspect was apprehended after his second wife, who caught her husband in the act, screamed, attracting neighbors to the scene.
The victim’s father said that they reported the matter to the ward head of Ngwalam before going to the police station in Numan town.
Confirming the report, the Public Relations Officer of the Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje noted that investigation is ongoing as the case has been brought to the police headquarters in Yola by Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Numan local government area.
